Why we built this
Accounting professionals spend an enormous amount of time hunting through PDFs and cross-references just to confirm a single rule. The FASB codification is comprehensive — but navigating it is slow and error-prone.
General AI tools make this worse. They cite paragraph numbers with confidence — then get the rule subtly (or completely) wrong. For an accountant or auditor, that is not a minor inconvenience. It is a liability.
We built US GAAP Buddy with one rule: the model should never state something it cannot trace back to a source document.
Every answer is generated by first retrieving the most relevant paragraphs from our curated ASC library, then synthesising only from those verified sources — never from general training memory.
